TEMPURA AISU

Ingredients of the Tempura Aisu:
•2 scoops of light ice cream
•4 slices of wholemeal bread or cake pan
•1 egg (without yolk)
•500 ml of water
•350 g of tempura flour or wheat
•Soybean oil for frying
•For the topping: strawberry jam or chocolate syrup (optional)



Preparation:
1. Place the four slices of bread next to each other by riding lightly on transparent film forming a square. Make a cylinder with balls of ice cream and place in the middle of the square of bread.
2. Helping with plastic wrap, pressing the mixture rolled into a cylinder a little, tight and tie a knot on the side, closing in the film.
3. Put it in the freezer for 10 min.
4. Water Mix flour and egg in large bowl.
5. Heat oil in a hot pan.
6. Remove the cylinder from the freezer and take off the plastic wrap.
7. Overflows into the flour in the cylinder and then the mixture of water, flour and eggs.
8. Quickly put the cylinder in the hot oil and fry for 20 or 30 seconds.
9. Take the barrel of oil, drain and let it cool a few seconds.
10. Cut into 5 or 6 pieces and serve accompanied by strawberry jam or chocolate syrup if desired.

History of the tempura:
The tempura is a food that comes from Japan but was made famous by portuguese jesuits. In the began this food was done exclusively with vegetables, but after the arrival of the evangelized also began to prepare with fish.
The etimology of the word comes from the Latin templo and its analogy for their different phonetic japanese. The templo is related to the jesuits monks named because they could not eat red meat and so they must eat fish in religious days.
This succulent dish is seen well when the mass reaches become clear, with littles bubbles, comes to the table hot and with no residual oil.
Through history, the tempura recipe has been refined. Is now also made with ice cream and fruit but this version is a westernized version. Usually is accompanied by a sauce for tempura when is salty or any sweet sauce.

  1. Ok, this is very good, and the ingredients seem to be convenient. However, I wonder about how easy this might be to prepare, as well as the prices and cooking time. Remember that it's important to check the guidelines and to be aware of the presentation you will have of your recipe in the book, as it is intended to be published with all the information regarding its wellness and related stuff.
    And, I'm not sure but did you erase your previous participation? as it was not necessary to do it.
